Cycling ACT select Junior riders in the U15/U17 categories (M/F) to represent the ACT at the Junior National Road Championships each year.
Riders selected to represent the ACT at the Junior National Championships will be provided with a State representative Jersey at no cost and a State representative pair of Knicks at cost. Cycling ACT may also appoint a Nationally Accredited Coach to oversee Cycling ACT State representatives at the Championships.
The Canberra Junior Tour as well as NSW Junior Tours and State Championships will be the primary selection events.
*Please Note : You do not have to be selected in an ACT Team to enter and compete in the National Junior Road Championships. Cycling ACT encourage all Junior U15/U17 cyclist who want to compete at the Junior National Road Championships to enter the the event before entries close.
Cycling ACT select Junior riders in the U15/U17 categories (M/F) to represent the ACT at the Junior National Track Championships and U19 and Elite Senior Riders (M/F) to represent the ACT at the Elite (senior) National Track Championships each year.
Selection in the ACT Track Team will be based on performance at selected events throughout the season. Performances at NSW, VIC or other State championship, Track World Cups, other National and international Track events will be taken into consideration.
*Please note : The National Track Championships (Junior) are restricted to State Team entries only, NO individual entries are permitted, you must be selected in the ACT State Team to compete. State Teams are also restricted to the number of competitors it can nominate. You can refer Cycling Australia regulation for permitted numbers.
Masters National Track, U19 and Elite Championships however are open to all competitors and being selected in a State team is not required to compete.
